Phillies fans are terrifying
Again, the pressure’s on the bad guys, not the Rox. Everyone’s picking the Phillies to win this thing: they’ve got their ace going, they’ve shelled Jeff Francis this year, blah blah blah. But most importantly, let’s look at the fan bases. Back in Denver, well, we’re basically nice people aren’t we? Plus we’re just thrilled that the Rockies have finally made the playoffs! WWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!! PLAYOFFS!!!! The Phillies? Well, they were supposed to be a great team this year, and those fans are from Philidelphia. In other words, murder attempts aren’t out of the question if they don’t succeed. Wouldn’t be surprised to see booing of the Phillies, the umpires, fans who aren’t booing, the baseball gods, Jesus, and maybe some other gods as well if the Rockies take this thing. So it would seem as though the Phillies have “dramatically” more pressure to deal with. Just saying.

I went into the city that night for a concert and while I was on the train leaving campus my mom called to report another Rockies victory (!) and also to advise I ought refrain from proclaiming my Colorado roots. “There are thousands of very angry Phillies fans pouring out of that stadium. They just do not look happy, so, be careful.”
