1. We do already hate the Pats, because they're evil, so uh, we're not at all ashamed to be going off on them. Not at all.

2. They did break the rules, and the NFL confirmed it, so...quick to judge? I think not.

3. Your argument that other teams do it is a moot point. No other team has been caught (innocent until proven otherwise) and the Patriots have been the NFL's most successful team for the last decade. This means the implications of their cheating are multiplied by the team's accomplishments and their accomplishments must now be scrutinized given this new information, ESPECIALLY because the Pats were warned about this before! Nobody cares that the Lions MAY have videotaped their way to a 3-13 record. But the fact that the Pats definitely did use it in some way to win three Superbowls means the legitimacy of the entire league's last five years has to be questioned.

4. Sure, play the kids card and be boring and cliche. However, cheating also hurts the league (which will lose some fans and legitimacy) and therefore a lot of advertisers and businesses that make money off of football. Sure, it will be minor, but don't pretend this has no repercussions beyond our favorite guilt trip. So yeah, youths, cheating is bad. But it's worse when the Patriots do it.

I think people should wait to hear all the details and await the decision before they go off half cocked. IF you already hate a team, and are looking for something to fuel the fire of hatered go ahead. But keep in mind that the rule that they have susposedly broke has only been in effect since last season. So all of you who are so quick to judge, how do we know what other teams (coughing Colts, Steelers)have used the same or similar methods to get an edge. If the allagations are true it's abhorant, and those in the know should be ashamed as well as punished. But lets be real here.... everyone hatesthe big bad whoever of the day. Still it's such a shame that a team who has been inspiring youth everywhere to be less slefish and selfcentered, teaching them to be a team member first and formost, to even be accused of such things. The real loosers in all of this are the kids. We adults can get POed but it is just the talk of the day. it has far reaching implications for the young.
